SSC CHSL - Education Qualification & Age Limit
Staff Selection Comission Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+ 2) which is also known as SSC CHSL .It is a secondary level exam 12th pass students are elegible for SSC CHSL . It is an Examinaion Which is conducted by SSC every year for the Reruitment of elegible candidates for the post of Lower Division Clerk /junior Secratariat Assistant ,Postal Assitant Data entry operator .
(i)For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates who are interested to appear in CHSL 2019 exam must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
(ii)For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Age limit for SSC CHSL
The minimum age limit for SSC CHSL is 18 years and maximum age limit for SSC CHSL is 27 years.
SSC CHSL : Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection of candidates requires appearance at the time of Objective type written Test ; Descriptive Type written Test and Skill test/Typing Test

In the objective type test there will be 2 Tiers i.e. Tier I and Tier II
Tier 1: Process

SSC CHSL 2019 Tier 1 exam will be conducted in online mode.
-
Introduction of a descriptive paper of 100 marks within 60 minutes in pen and paper mode.

Reduction in time limit for examination of Tier -I from 75 minutes to 60 minutes.
Tier 2: Process

The exam is of 60 minutes’ duration and carries 100 marks.

The questions are based on 10 level.

The exam is qualifying in nature.

Part paper written in Hindi and Part in English will not be evaluated.

The exam duration is 80 minutes for candidates who are visually handicapped or suffer from cerebral palsy.

The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words.

The Paper would comprise writing of Letter /Application writing of approximately 150-200 words.

The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 per cent.

The performance in Tier II would be included for preparing merit.

The paper will have to be written either in Hindi or in English.

Correct answer carries 1mark

There will be negative marking of 0.25marks for incorrect answers for all questions

Duration of Paper will be of 60 Minutes
Tier 3: Process
Skill Test for Data Entry Operator (DEO):

Skill Test is mandatory for Data Entry Operators.

No candidate is exempted from appearing in the Skill Test.

Data Entry Speed of 8,000 (eight thousand) Key Depressions per hour on Computer.

The Speed of “8000 key depressions per hour on computer? will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/ key depressions as per the given passage.

The duration of the Test will be 15 (Fifteen) minutes

Printed matter in English containing about 2000-2200 key-depressions would be given to each candidate who would enter the same in the Computer.

For the post of DEO in the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): The ‘speed of 15000 key depressions per hour on Computer? will be adjudged on the basis of the correct entry of words/ key depressions.
Typing Test for Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant LDCs and Court Clerks:

Typing Test will be conducted in English or Hindi and candidates while applying for the Examination, will have to indicate his/her choice/option for Skill Test Medium in the Application Form.

Typing Test will be of qualifying in nature.
-
It will be administered on the Computer, to be provided by the Commission or any agency authorized by the Commission.

Candidates opting for English medium should have typing speed of 35 words per minute.

Candidates opting for Hindi medium should have typing speed of 30 words per minute.
